Best Mac WWDC app gains clip sharing, transcripts, and ‘Community’ feature ahead of Apple’s virtual keynote

WWDC 2020 is set to start on June 22nd as a virtual event and Apple has said it’s planning to share more about what to expect through its Developer app later this month. However, a Mac version of the app is still missing. Fortunately, the unofficial WWDC app for Mac has been updated and is ready for this year’s digital WWDC with some notable new features.

Created by 9to5Mac’s Gui Rambo along with a small global team, the Unofficial WWDC app for macOS (free) is the best way to plan what you want to get out of the event, livestream current sessions, rewatch past ones, and connect with the Apple dev community on your Mac. This year with WWDC going virtual for the first time due to the pandemic, a Mac app will be more useful than ever.

At the end of 2019, Apple rebranded the WWDC app as the Apple Developer app. It will be a crucial piece of the WWDC 2020 experience and is available for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Apple Watch, but a Mac app is still missing.

The Unofficial WWDC macOS app has a clean, native interface for the best WWDC experience on your Mac and has been updated today with a number of new features including an all-new Community tab that features content from Apple devs from a variety of sources and a new clip sharing tool to easily share small portions of sessions.

Two other handy updates include support for Universal links as well as transcripts in English, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.

You can download the latest version of WWDC for macOS for free now.

Invalid Payment Method On iPhone? Here’s The Real Fix!

Invalid Payment Method On iPhone? Here’s The Real Fix!

Your iPhone says your payment method is invalid and you’re not sure why. Now you can’t make purchases in iTunes or the App Store! In this article, I’ll explain why it says Invalid Payment Method on your iPhone and show you how to fix the problem for good.

Update Your Payment Information

One of the most common reasons why it says Invalid Payment Method on your iPhone is because you have to update your payment information. It’s possible your current payment method has expired and needs to be updated. If you recently got a new credit card, you may only need to update your card’s expiration date and CVV number!
Open Settings and tap on Your Name at the top of the screen. Then, tap Payment & Shipping and enter your Apple ID password.

Next, tap on the payment method you’d like to update. You can either update the information about the card, or scroll all the way down and tap Change Payment Method if you have a new card.
When you’ve updated your payment information, tap Save in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

Pay Any Unpaid Bills

You won’t be able to make new purchases on your iPhone if you have any unpaid bills or subscriptions. Open Settings and tap on Your Name -> iTunes & App Store.

Tap on your Apple ID, then tap View Apple ID and enter your password. Tap Purchase History to see if there are any unpaid purchases on your iPhone. If you have any unpaid purchases, tap on them to update your information and make the payment.

Sign Out Of Your Apple ID & Log In Again

If your payment information is up to date and you don’t have any unpaid purchases, it’s time to address an issue with your Apple ID. One quick way to fix a minor glitch with your Apple ID is to log out and back into your account.
Open Settings and tap on Your Name at the top of the menu. Scroll down and tap Sign Out to log out of your Apple ID.
check apple id and sign out
To sign back into your Apple ID, open Settings and tap the Sign In button at the top of the screen.

Contact Apple Support

If it still says Invalid Payment Method on your iPhone, it’s time to contact Apple support. Some Apple ID issues are very complex and can only be resolved by an upper-level Apple customer service representative.
Visit Apple’s support website to schedule an appointment at a store near you or get on the phone with a customer service representative.

Pay It Forward

You’ve validated the payment method on your iPhone and you can make iTunes and App Store purchases again! Now you’ll know exactly what to do the next time it says Invalid Payment Method on your iPhone. Feel free to leave a comment down below if you have any other questions about your iPhone!

Apple Music is coming to Echo devices next month

Apple Music is coming to Echo devices next month

Amazon’s Echo smart speakers already support a variety of music services, including Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio, and TuneIn. And starting on December 17th, Apple Music will join this little cohort.
Apple Music users will be able to ask Alexa to play their favorite songs, artists, and albums, as well as any of the streaming service’s curated playlists and radio stations. Echo owners will simply need to enable the Apple Music skill in the Alexa app, link their account, and they’ll be good to go.
Making Apple Music available on Echo devices might seem like it’s running counter to Apple’s usual strategy of using services as a lure for hardware (and vice versa), but the company can apparently see the sense of making its streaming service available on the most popular home speaker platform out there. It also seems to be happier about appearing on Amazon’s platform recently. Earlier this month, it struck a new deal with the e-commerce giant to sell iPhones, iPads, and other Apple products on its site.
“Music is one of the most popular features on Alexa—since we launched Alexa four years ago, customers are listening to more music in their homes than ever before,” said senior VP of Amazon devices, Dave Limp, in a blog post. “We are committed to offering great music providers to our customers and since launching the Music Skill API to developers just last month, we’ve expanded the music selection on Alexa to include even more top tier services.”
