Live Images of Braided USB-C to Lightning Cable for iPhone 12 Series Spotted – Black Cable Also Shown Next to It

Live Images of Braided USB-C to Lightning Cable for iPhone 12 Series Spotted - Black Cable Also Shown Next to It
It was rumored that instead of bundling wired EarPods and a charger, Apple would provide a braided USB-C to Lightning cable with each iPhone 12 model sold. Now a tipster who calls himself L0vetodream has shown images of the accessory rumored to be bundled with the new handsets. In addition, he’s also shown images of a black braided cable.

Tipster Later Updates That the Black Braided Cable Would Be for the iMac Pro

Though L0vetodream didn’t mention this in his initial tweet where he showed an entire gallery of both the white and black braided cables, he later publishes a second tweet, clarifying that the black-colored accessory isn’t meant for the upcoming iPhone 12 family, but is from the iMac Pro. Earlier, alleged renders of the iPhone 12’s inner box leaked online, showing a heavily slimmed down packaging.
From what we could tell, there was no space to accommodate a charger or wired EarPods, but there was an area where it looked like Apple could provide a charging cable if it was neatly tucked and rolled. Since the first-generation iPhone and iPad launched, Apple has never bundled a braided charging cable. In fact, there have been complaints that Apple’s included charging cable offers very little durability compared to what certified third-party manufacturers provide and that too at a cheaper price.
The braided USB-C to Lightning cable could change that trend once and for all, though if you still want the wired EarPods or charger, you’ll have to purchase them separately. However, chances are you won’t have to spend the extra cash, most likely because you’ll be using your existing charger to top up the iPhone 12’s battery, assuming you’re ready to upgrade to it. As for the wired EarPods, Bluetooth earphones aren’t that expensive either and provide seamless enough pairing with the iPhone, though AirPods are a much better option.
Would you appreciate it if Apple ends up bundling the braided USB-C to Lightning cable with the iPhone 12’s packaging? Tell us down in the comments.

iPhone 12 Max, iPhone 12 Pro Live Battery With Certification Images Allegedly Leaked; Same Listed Capacity

iPhone 12 Max, iPhone 12 Pro Live Battery With Certification Images Allegedly Leaked; Same Listed Capacity
A while back, three iPhone 12 batteries got certified, revealing that Apple might ship the newer models with smaller cells compared to the predecessors. Now, similar news talking about the battery belonging to both the upcoming iPhone 12 Max and iPhone 12 Pro is circulating, and it’s possible Apple sticks to the same capacity for both models, which is highly unfortunate if you ask us.

Apple Might Stick With the Same 2775mah Cell for the iPhone 12 Max and iPhone 12 Pro

Images were shared on Twitter and they reportedly originated from a Korea Institute of Chemical Convergence Testing page, with screenshots showing other details of the battery provided as well. Take a look below if you want to see what sort of battery life you can expect from the iPhone 12 Max as well as the iPhone 12 Pro.

As mentioned above, the rated capacity will actually be smaller than what’s present in the iPhone 11. We’re bringing in the iPhone 11 in the conversation because reports state that this model features the same display size as the iPhone 12 Max and the iPhone 12 Pro. It’s possible both of these upcoming models will take advantage of Apple’s highly-efficient A14 Bionic chipset that’s said to be made on TSMC’s 5nm node. There are also other areas where Apple can employ energy-saving tactics, so we’ll have to see exactly what those are when all four models are released later this year.
If you don’t know already, given below are the rated battery capacities expected for the upcoming four models.
  • iPhone 12 (5.4-inch) – A2471 – 2227mAh
  • iPhone 12 Max (6.1-inch) – A2431 – 2775mAh
  • iPhone 12 Pro (6.1-inch) – A2431 – 2775mAh
  • iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7-inch) – A2466 – 3687mAh
In a separate report, Apple may announce the new models in September, but it’s possible that they are officially released in October. If and when that happens, we’ll fill you in on all the battery capacities present in the iPhone 12 lineup, so stay tuned for more updates in the future.

iPhone 12 Launch Details Shared in New Report – Unveiling Will Happen in September, With Availability in October

iPhone 12 Launch Details Shared in New Report – Unveiling Will Happen in September, With Availability in October

iPhone 12 Launch Details Shared in New Report - Unveiling Will Happen in September, With Availability in October
Uncertainty is still looming when it comes to the iPhone 12 launch, but fresh details present in a new report talks about the unveiling happening during the month of September. Unfortunately, just because Apple will be announcing new hardware during the aforementioned month, doesn’t mean those models will be available to order immediately.

Apple’s Supply Chain Reportedly Entering Normalization Phase - New iPhone 12 Models Should Be Available for Customers in Early October

A brand new report from Wedbush talks about the announcement of the new iPhone 12 models happening in September. This most likely means Apple will host its keynote in September, and it’s possible the technology giant also unveils a slew of other products. Unfortunately, while the release date of the other products wasn’t mentioned in the new report, the availability of the new iPhone 12 models won’t happen immediately.
“The supply chain getting back to normalization ahead of expectations has been impressive and now ultimately puts Cook & Co. back in the drivers seat to launch this 5G cycle in its typical mid-late September timeframe with the smartphones hitting the shelves/website by early October.”
A different report claimed that Apple was using every resource at its disposal to reduce the iPhone 12 delay. If things didn’t go according to plan, then the final assembly process could be pushed to October, the same month where Wedbush has commented that the new models shall be available to purchase. It also looks like because of several factors, ranging from manufacturing complications to the ongoing pandemic, iPhone 12 shipments for mmWave 5G models have been cut by 50 percent.
There’s no telling if Apple’s supply chain has got the situation under control or not, but we’ll see what happens in September. Ideally, September is the right month to unveil the new models as it’s just a month after Samsung unveils the new Galaxy Note 20 line. Apple certainly wouldn’t want to give Samsung any unnecessarily lead, but we’ll see what exactly goes does a few months from now.

Three iPhone 12 Batteries Get Spotted on Certification Website; 5.4-inch Version May Feature 2227mAh of Rated Capacity

Three iPhone 12 Batteries Get Spotted on Certification Website; 5.4-inch Version May Feature 2227mAh of Rated Capacity
The battery capacities of three iPhone 12 models have shown up on a certification website, though some details are different than what was mentioned in previous reports. It also looks like the smallest member of the iPhone 12 lineup; the one sporting a 5.4-inch display will sport a 2227mAh battery and that might not bode well for customers if they plan on enabling 5G connectivity throughout the day.

All Certified Battery Capacities Are Less in Capacities Compared to Capacities Running in the iPhone 11 Family

Several certification images were circulating on Twitter, revealing the capacities of the upcoming iPhone 12 models. The batteries of the three models have been given below.
  • A2471 - 2227mAh (Rated capacity)
  • A2431 - 2775mAh (Rated capacity)
  • A2466 - 3687mAh (Rated capacity)
What’s strange to see here is that Apple is rumored to launch four iPhone 12 models later this year, not three, so why were only three batteries spotted on the certification website? It may be possible that the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Max and the more premium iPhone 12 Pro share the same capacity since they are rumored to share the same display size. However, it’s also possible that the battery of the iPhone 12 Pro Max, which is said to sport a massive 4400mAh cell hasn’t been spotted as yet, so there are lots of unanswered questions at this point.
However, assuming these are the final figures, the capacities in question are actually smaller than the capacities present in the iPhone 11 series as shown in the list below.
  • iPhone 11 - 3110mAh
  • iPhone 11 Pro - 3046mAh
  • iPhone 11 Pro Max - 3969mAh
We’re not sure what kind of power-saving measures Apple would have implemented in these iPhone 12 models because remember, all models are also said to support 5G connectivity and they will be sold in countries where 5G networks have rolled out. We’re not sure how a 2227mAh capacity will provide respectable endurance on a handset where 5G is enabled throughout the day. Looks like we’ll find out how well these phones perform after they’re released in the market.
What do you think of the latest battery capacities belonging to the iPhone 12 lineup? Impressed or disappointed? Let us know down in the comments.

Tipster Hints That Leaked 20W Charger for iPhone 12 Also Means Bigger Batteries for Upcoming Models

Tipster Hints That Leaked 20W Charger for iPhone 12 Also Means Bigger Batteries for Upcoming Models

Tipster Hints That Leaked 20W Charger for iPhone 12 Also Means Bigger Batteries for Upcoming Models

Just yesterday, images of a 20W charger meant for the upcoming iPhone 12 series showed up online, and later received certification only a few hours later. There was also some speculation going on that perhaps Apple plans on bundling this charger with some iPhone 12 models because they will sport larger batteries and with the higher wattage, these cells will top up faster. Well, a tipster believes so too, giving us hope of even better battery life from the upcoming iPhone 12 series.

iPhone 12 Lineup Also Said to Be Thinner Than Its Predecessors While Rocking Bigger Batteries

Twitter user Jioriku has published some text with some confidence, implying that larger batteries are arriving for the iPhone 12 lineup. Unfortunately, he failed to mention the capacities of each iPhone 12 member, and there are four in total arriving this year, according to reports. Even previously, there was a report where it was summarized that the iPhone 12 series will be thinner than the iPhone 11 lineup while rocking bigger batteries, which is quite impressive, assuming that turns out to be true.

A bigger battery will also become a necessity for models like the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro Max since these are the two whose display specifications mention a 120Hz refresh rate, while the less expensive versions will only ship with a 60Hz OLED panel. Even with the 120Hz variable refresh rate technology enabled, both the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will become battery guzzlers, for which a bigger cell will become a requirement.

We also hope the same treatment is given to the cheaper iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max. While we don’t believe these two versions will ship with a 20W charger, we’re hoping Apple crams in a slightly bigger cell for increasing screen-on time, though our hopes may dwindle very soon and here’s why.

Earlier, a 5.4-inch iPhone 12 dummy was compared in size against the 2020 iPhone SE, showing that Apple’s $399 low-cost model is bigger. This might be seen as bad news as a smaller size could mean a compromise in the overall capacity that’s meant to be placed in the smallest iPhone 12. Hopefully, we’ll get to know the capacities of all four models in the future, but for now, treat this info with a pinch of salt, and await further updates.

APPLE IPHONE 12 SERIES' CAMERA DETAILS SURFACE, ALL FOUR MODELS MAY COME WITH A BETTER WIDE-ANGLE CAMERA

APPLE IPHONE 12 SERIES' CAMERA DETAILS SURFACE, ALL FOUR MODELS MAY COME WITH A BETTER WIDE-ANGLE CAMERA

This year's iPhone lineup is expected to include not three but four iPhone models with different screen sizes. The series is likely to compromise one 5.4-inch model, two 6.1-inch models, and one 6.7-inch model. A new report claims that Apple has reportedly shared the camera module orders to its suppliers, and in the process some details have been leaked.
As per a report by Digitimes, all four models of the iPhone 12 series might come with a better wide-angle camera. The report referred to a supply chain that revealed that the wide-angle lense of all four models are upgraded from 6P to 7P.

In addition to this, the report also revealed that Sharp and O-film Tech might be taking care of camera modules of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max and are reportedly planning for 50-55 million units. As per the report, LG Innotek is expected to make cameras for the other two models of the series and might go for 35-40 million units.
This hints that Apple is expecting more sales of lower end two models than the higher-end models.

As per a previous report, iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max are likely to sport two rear cameras each whereas the other two might feature triple rear camera setups.
