Google Maps Easter Egg Shows the Android Mascot Pissing on Apple

That picture up top is actually hidden in Google Maps. It's not a fake or a bug. Somewhere, at some point in time, either Google's Maps app has been hacked and defaced, or a Google Maps employee has quite starkly shown their disdain for Cupertino competitors Apple by popping in an image of the Android mascot, pissing on the Apple logo.

You'd laugh, if it weren't for the fact that, whatever way you cut it, someone's losing their job over this. Either that, or Google's totally in the know and looking to take the shine off of Apple's big smartwatch delivery day.

The spot of map in question lies south of Rawlpindi in Pakistan. You can still view it here, at least at the time of writing. As it's at the base terrain level of the mapping application, whoever done the deed here had access to a privileged editing level of the map data. It is, quite literally, a piss take
