Ever since Apple rolled out the iOS 8.3 update, a spate of new bugs have surfaced as if to keep date with history, wherein every iOS update released till date has brought its own share of problems including Wi-fi issues, Bluetooth connectivity problems and massive battery drain issues.
iOS 8.3 also seems to be harbouring similar inherent bugs found in the past iOS updates, including the persistent Bluetooth connectivity problems.
It has been ascertained that the Bluetooth issue has been spotted with various accessory devices such as Bluetooth-based car stereos, earphones and speakers that are connected to iOS devices running iOS 8.3.
With due credit to folks at Redmond Pie, we have listed out a few nifty tips and tricks to sort out the Bluetooth connectivity issues on your device:
Rebooting the iPhone or iPad
You should always try rebooting your device as one of the preliminary steps in troubleshooting such data connectivity problems.
You can try rebooting the device in two ways: by holding the Power button and then sliding thePower off on the device's display or by holding down both the Power and Home buttons together until the device shuts down and the Apple logo appears on boot screen.
Forget the Bluetooth device and try pairing again
Go to Settings > Bluetooth app and tap the 'i' button next to the device you are trying to connect to. Then hit the Forget This Device > Forget Device button. You can now try re-pairing your Bluetooth device.
Turn Bluetooth toggle On/Off
Just trying to turn the Bluetooth option off and on could often help resolve connectivity problems. This option is accessible via Settings > Bluetooth.
Reset Network Settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap on Reset Network Settings and this should fix any inconsistencies in the configuration of your network. You will be required to enter the security PIN code to unlock the settings and perform this action.
Restore iOS 8.3 via iTunes
In some rare cases, a corrupt system file could be causing the Bluetooth connectivity issues and in such a scenario, you should try restoring the device back to stock iOS 8.3 settings via iTunes.
To restore iOS 8.3: Just connect your device to the PC or Mac, launch iTunes and then hit theRestore iPhone/iPad button.
Downgrade to iOS 8.2
