AudioMob, the in-game audio advertising start-up fresh out of London, just announced a $1.5 million funding round.
The company only launched at the start of 2020. It was founded by ex-Google employees Christian Facey and Wilfrid Obeng in an effort to bring non-intrusive audio ads to mobile games.
Audio ads are a promising market for advertisers and have proven successful across platforms such as Spotify and co.
AudioMob is part of a For Startup program by Google that offers mentorship to promising new companies.
The company recently commissioned a YouGov survey that found that 28% of UK adults prefer free mobile games with audio ads over free games with video ads (18%).
The company plans to use the cash injection to expand its products and headcount.
