Following its Human Insight Technology showcase at CES 2020, Panasonic adds a new lens to the LUMIX S Series.
Panasonic Presents the LUMIX S 70-300mm Lens
Panasonic has announced a new interchangeable telephoto zoom lens: the LUMIX S 70-300mm F4.5-5.6 Macro OIS (S-R70300) for full-frame (and APS-C) L-mount bodies.
"Built with professional photographers in mind, the LUMIX S Series pursues uncompromising photographic expression with its high-quality cameras and lenses," the press release reads.
The lens has 17 elements in 11 groups, including ultra extra low-dispersion (UED), extra low-dispersion (ED), and ultra high-refractive index (UHR) glass.
When used with the dual IS-equipped body, the onboard image stabilizer reduces shake by up to 5.5 stops. You can also stabilize your shaky photos and videos with Google Photos.
The 70-300 is well-sealed against dust and moisture. Panasonic says that it can withstand harsh weather conditions as cold as even at 14 degrees Fahrenheit (-10 degrees Celsius). It weighs 790 grams (1.8 pounds) and accepts three inch (77 millimeter) screw-in filters.
