Sony has kept gamers entertained through the pandemic with its Play at Home scheme, and now it's going to get even better. The company has announced ten more games entering the scheme on March 25, 2021, and you'll be able to get every single one for free.
Sony's New Wave of Games for Play at Home 2021
Sony declared the good news over on the Playstation Blog. As the pandemic continues to spread across the globe, Sony has been treating its users with free games to keep them indoors, safe, and entertained during this hard time.
If you're stuck for something to play, be sure to check out this list of games that will become free of charge for a limited time, starting on March 25, 2021:
- Abzu
- Enter the Gungeon
- Rez Infinite
- Subnautica
- The Witness
- Astro Bot Rescue Mission
- Moss
- Thumper
- Paper Beast
Eagle-eyed readers will notice that this list only contains nine games. That's because the Play at Home scheme for Spring will have a late rival, albeit a very welcome one.
From April 19, 2021, the critically-acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn will join the party and become free for a limited time. As such, if you own a modern PlayStation console, now is the perfect time to get back in the game and grab some free titles while we weather the effects of COVID-19.
What Is Play at Home?
If you've only just learned that Sony is giving away free games, you're not too late to join in the fun. If you hop on before March 31, 2021, you can still grab a copy of Ratchet and Clank for the PS4.
It's important to note that this is different from the games that Sony gives exclusively to PS Plus members every month. As such, you don't even need to be a PS Plus member to grab these games, so you have no excuse not to hop on this amazing deal.
Gaming on a Budget
With COVID-19 not going away anytime soon, companies have been banding together to keep people entertained during this tough time. Keep an eye on Sony during the Spring 2021 period as games become free for a limited time.
If you're in a tight place financially, there are plenty of free games outside of Sony that you can try. For instance, Steam has a huge library of free titles that won't try to nickel and dime you at every opportunity.
