Calm, the meditation app launched in 2013, surpassed 100 million downloads globally in August 2021, making it the world’s top most downloaded mediation app.
The demand for mindfulness apps has risen steadily over the last eight years. Much of last year’s growth has been driven by the pandemic lockdowns which caused an increase in people seeking help for anxiety and depression.
According to App Annie, Calm now ranks in the first place for meditation apps and ninth among Fitness and Health Apps.
