Doctor Anywhere, the app that provides a virtual clinic from where users can assess symptoms and request home services and mental wellness tools, just raised $140 million SGD (around $100 million US) in a Series C round.
The funding round was led by Asia Partners and had participation from Novo Holdings, Philips and OSK-SBI Partners.
Doctor Anywhere is a platform that offers an omnichannel approach to healthcare. Not only does it allow for online consultations, but it also runs in-person clinics and an In-app marketplace for healthcare products.
It was launched in 2017 and now has over 1.5 million users across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.
Telemedicine is a rapidly advancing business as COVID-19 has shown that online health and wellness apps are useful to help users assess symptoms, verify their health status and engage in mental health strategies.
The number of providers of such services more than doubled last year.
Doctor Anywhere launched a specialist COVID-19 medical advisory clinic in light of the demand for e-consultations.
It will use the latest cash injection to expand into new markets and improve existing product.
