Spring, the commerce platform for creators, just partnered with Instagram to help creators achieve a 100% profit from their merchandise.
Costs for goods, manufacturing and shipping would be eliminated and creators can check their transactions in-app.
It’s essentially a great way to bypass Apple’s hefty 30% fee cut because the commerce integration is direct to consumer.
The Spring program can be used with Instagram posts, reels and Shops and will be available to its 350k creators.
“100 per cent profit is honestly insane. Nobody can compete with that, and it makes me feel so much better about releasing a high quality product to my fans. The seamless integration makes the purchase incredibly easy for my fans. They don’t even have to leave the app,” commented Matthew Meagher, a creator on Instagram.
“Easier for them, easier for me, it’s a win-win. How many times do you see a post, and half of the comments are “Where did you get that shirt?” The Instagram Shop feature perfectly solves that problem. It has saved me countless hours scouring the internet.”
