Instagram has added a feature that lets users manage their live broadcasts.
The livestream moderator feature will allow users to assign a moderator during a livestream.
Moderators are able to report on comments, remove viewers and turn off comments for specific viewers or remove the option for select viewers.
The option will make it easier to control inappropriate behaviour during livestreams following some reported instances of harassment during live sessions.
Monitoring comments during a livestream has always been somewhat of a challenge because comments are usually posted in real-time.
Instagram has taken several steps to make it easier for its users to block inappropriate behaviour and the latest addition should also make it easier to monitor broadcasts.
