Twitter is taking another step in its eCommerce foray and just partnered with Shopify to enable all US merchants to drive audience reach and boost purchases.
The integration aims to make it easier for shoppers to discover products and be inspired.
Twitter built a dedicated sales channel via Shopify’s App Store or Shopify admin.
When a merchant adds it they can onboard to a Twitter Shopping Manager and connect their Twitter account to their Shopify admin.
From here they can manage their shopping features and access tools for professional merchants, sync their inventory to their Shopify catalog and showcase products on their Twitter profile to drive discovery.
“The Twitter sales channel makes it quicker and easier to meet our customers wherever they are,” said Jessica Stevens, Senior Social Media Manager, Trixie Cosmetics
“The automatic syncing is going to help us save so much time, and the sales channel allows me to easily connect the two platforms that we already tap into to sell products and engage with customers.”
Twitter already offers a dedicated Shop tab for merchants to display up to 50 products in a separate tab.
