iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 beta 3 now available to download for developers

Nearly two weeks after Apple opened the iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 betas to the public, the third beta has been seeded to developers, bringing us one step closer to the final version of the software set to be released this fall alongside the next-generation iPhone series. So far, the beta releases have been surprisingly stable, and although there are some compatibility issues with select apps, the software itself has been running smoothly.

The iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 public betas were released on July 9th, and included all of the features and improvements of the first two betas that were seeded to developers. If recent history is any guide, a new version of the public betas could begin rolling out as early as today, but shouldn’t take long to arrive regardless.

2021 iPhone SE Might Retain the Same A13 Bionic SoC as 2020 Model; Tipster Claims New Model Will Feature Other Changes

2021 iPhone SE Might Retain the Same A13 Bionic SoC as 2020 Model; Tipster Claims New Model Will Feature Other Changes

2021 iPhone SE Might Retain the Same A13 Bionic SoC as 2020 Model
Apple nailed the hardware and pricing of its 2020 iPhone SE, and with its A13 Bionic, you’re getting tons of performance in an affordable package. Since it’s highly likely that the A13 Bionic will stay highly competitive next year, there are rumors that the 2021 iPhone SE will feature the same SoC. While that will disappoint a lot of potential customers wanting better hardware in a newer model, a tipster believes that are other changes that Apple could implement.

Tipster Provides Details About Direct 2020 iPhone SE Successor, Not the iPhone SE Plus, Which Is a Different Model

Fresh insight from MauriQHD provides details on the 2021 iPhone SE. Now, before you get confused, he isn’t referring to the ‘iPhone SE Plus’, a larger variant of the 2020 iPhone SE that’s rumored to launch next year sporting a full-screen design and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. In a separate Twitter thread, there’s another discussion going on regarding what’s going to be different about the 2021 iPhone SE.
The tipster replies that there are going to be several of them, though he fails to mention even a single difference. Perhaps the information he’s got a hold off isn’t concrete at this time, because his reply doesn’t deliver that level of confidence as compared to his earlier tweets. Then again, we feel that it makes sense to continue using the A13 Bionic while changing up a few things when it comes to design.

If Apple ends up using the A14 Bionic meant for the iPhone 12 lineup, it could end up cannibalizing sales of the top-end models as users will get to experience the same performance from the cheaper 2021 iPhone SE. As mentioned above, the A13 Bionic is still expected to deliver impressive levels of performance when it goes head-to-head against chipsets like the Snapdragon 875, the Kirin 1020, and the rumored Exynos 1000.
What sort of changes would you like to see from the next iPhone SE? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments. Also, while you’re at it, you might also want to check out the following.

Free iPhone SE Networck unlock SIM unlock 2020

Apple’s iPhones aren’t exactly known for their competitive price tags, which is why many might opt to buy them through a carrier so as to be able to pay it back on an installment plan. Apple’s iPhone SE (2020) does shift that narrative because at $399, it is one of the cheapest iPhones we’ve seen around in recent years.
If you did get the iPhone SE from your carrier but would love the freedom of being able to use it with any carrier and travel with it overseas and use it with a local telco, then you’ve come to the right place as we’ll show you how to unlock the SIM of the iPhone SE either for free through your carrier, or using services like Movical.

2020 iPhone SE 5W vs 18W Charging Speeds Tests Show Full Capacity Being Reached in Almost Same Duration

2020 iPhone SE 5W vs 18W Charging Speeds Tests Show Full Capacity Being Reached in Almost Same Duration

Apple’s newest 2020 iPhone SE is practically the iPhone 8 with minor changes on the inside. What’s not changed, unfortunately, is that small 1821mAh battery present inside that 4.7-inch display. Also, Apple didn’t do its customers any favors by bundling a 5W power brick as part of its accessories, so if you want faster charging speeds, you can pick up Apple’s 18W adapter separately. However, what will be the benefits of upgrading from a 5W adapter to an 18W one? These tests will provide all the data you’re looking for.

The Full Charge Time on the 2020 iPhone SE Mounts to Just a 30-Minute Difference Using Both Power Adapters

According to charging tests done by PhoneArena, using a 5W charger, it takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes to charge that small 1821mAh cell. Sadly, what’s disappointing for users is that you won’t see any fast-charging benefits using this power brick. During extensive testing, a 30-minute top-up only resulting in around 28 percent of charge.
However, if and when you switch over to the high-wattage 18-watt power brick, the charging time starts to improve considerably. In fact, if you plug in the 2020 iPhone SE, you’ll be able to recharge the new model to 55 percent in just 30 minutes. This makes an 18-watt charger purchase convenient for one reason. If you’re in a hurry and need to reach your destination in a flash, then you’ll be able to get adequate battery life, just as long as you hurry home to plug in the handset again.
Do keep in mind that there’s a limit to the battery life you can experience with the 1821mAh battery in the 2020 iPhone SE. If you want to obtain a higher ‘screen on’ time, there’s a way to do that too. Though Apple hasn’t officially released the Smart Battery Case for the iPhone SE, the $399 model is compatible with the iPhone 7’s accessory.
However, it should be noted that even with the 5W charger, the 2020 iPhone SE reached a full charge just 30 minutes after the 18W charger, so if you want to save a little money and keep your 5W charger, you can do that too.

Amazing Deal: iPhone 8 Plus Renewed, Fully Unlocked, 64GB, Space Gray for Just $369

We have a solid deal on a renewed iPhone 8 Plus, fully unlocked with 64GB of storage and Space Gray finish for just $369.

Grab a Renewed iPhone 8 Plus in Almost Brand New Condition for a Low Price of $369

Just before the 2020 iPhone SE, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus were the two iPhones the Cupertino company was selling that featured Touch ID. While the iPhone SE does cater to needs of millions of users out there, but if you need a slightly larger display while keeping Touch ID, there is no option from Apple currently. However, take a look into the renewed section of Amazon and you'll find yourself a 64GB iPhone 8 Plus with a 5.5-inch Retina display for a low price of just $369.
Even after all this time, the iPhone 8 Plus is a beast of a phone thanks to its powerful internals, excellent build quality and a fantastic set of cameras on the front and back. It features an A11 Bionic chip that handles all your daily tasks, then there's the glass back that allows wireless charging and a housing that is water-resistant. You also get fast wired charging if you use a USB-C to Lightning cable along with an 18W power adapter. Since there is a Touch ID Home button in the equation, this also means that you can use your fingerprint for making payments using Apple Pay.
Since this is a renewed device therefore it won't ship with the original Lightning cable and adapter. However, it will ship with an MFi-certified Lightning cable and charger in the box so you can get up and running the moment the device reaches your home.
The iPhone 8 Plus being discussed is fully unlocked and will work on any carrier of your choice, complete with 4G LTE.

New iPhone SE (2020) release date price and specs

New iPhone SE (2020) release date price and specs

Apple's new budget iPhone SE for 2020 is here at last. We present all the information you need, including its release date, price, tech specs, design and new features

Apple has announced a new iPhone outside the month of September for the first time since 2016, and outside autumn for only the second time in a decade. It is a very big deal. It's the new iPhone SE for 2020.
Apple's popular first-gen iPhone SE was discontinued in September 2018, and fans of small, affordable handsets have been asking for a replacement ever since. At long last, they've got it - although it isn't quite as small this time around.
In this article we have all the details about the new iPhone SE's launch, price in the UK and US, specs, design, new features and much more. We'll help you decide if this is the phone for you.

Release date: When will the new iPhone SE come out?

It's out right now! The iPhone SE (2020) was announced at 4pm UK time on 15 April 2020. Pre-orders began at 1pm UK time (or 5am PDT) on Friday 17 April, and appeared in shops today, Friday 24 April.

Price: How much does the iPhone SE (2020) cost?

The iPhone SE (2020) starts at £419 in the UK, and $399 in the US. Yeah, that exchange rate bites just a bit. Here's the full pricing:
  • iPhone SE (2020, 64GB): £419/$399
  • iPhone SE (2020, 128GB): £469/$449
  • iPhone SE (2020, 256GB): £569/$549
You can buy it from Apple's website
It might be galling for UK readers to see prices that are higher in pounds than in dollars, but that's something we've grown used to since the launch of the original iPhone SE in 2016. We investigate if this product is an example of 'Rip-Off Britain' in the separate article How much is an iPhone SE (and is it too much?).
And once you look past this, these are great prices. The new SE replaces the 8 and matches it in most respects, adding a processor that's two generations newer, but comes in at £60/£50 less at the base 64GB storage allocation. This is a phone launch that's all about value rather than excitement, which may be apt for the strange time we live in.
Wondering how this handset compares to its predecessor? Read our comparison of the old and new iPhone SE.

iPhone SE (2020) design

The iPhone SE for 2020 takes its design cues from the iPhone 8 (it will reportedly fit into iPhone 8 cases), so this isn't a return to the ultra-compact 4in design of the iPhone SE (2016), nor do we get the squared-off corners of the iPad Pro range - both of which were touted, and in some cases demanded, in the run up to the launch.
There's only a single camera lens on the rear, and it keeps the Home button - so Touch ID is the order of the day rather than Face ID.
Here are some images of the new handset in all its glory:

iPhone SE (2020) specs and new features

Don't expect envelope-pushing specs and features at this price, but this is still a solid offering. Here's the specs sheet:
  • A13 Bionic processor
  • 3GB RAM
  • 64GB/128GB/256GB of storage
  • 4.7in (1334x750 at 326 ppi) display, 625 nits brightness, 1400:1 contrast, True Tone
  • 12Mp (f/1.8) rear-facing camera with flash, Portrait mode, 4K video
  • 7Mp (f/2.2) front-facing camera, Portrait mode
  • IP67 water and dust resistance
  • 138.4 x 67.3 x 7.3 mm; 148g

What processor is in the iPhone SE (2020)?

The standout inclusion in that specs list is clearly the A13 Bionic chip, which is state of the art in Apple Land and matches the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro.
The A13 is arguably Apple's flagship mobile processor - arguably, because the iPad Pro 2020 has a chip called the A12Z, which is from the generation before but incorporates a double enhancement (successive upgrades from A12 to A12X, and from A12X to A12Z) indicated by the letter Z. There will be a faster A14 chip when the iPhone 12 launches in autumn 2020.
The added power of the A13's neural engine should enable the seemingly unimpressive camera setup to produce excellent shots.

How much RAM is there in the iPhone SE (2020)?

The iPhone SE (2020) has 3GB of RAM. (Apple doesn't announce RAM for its phones, but this figure was quickly discovered via early teardowns.)
That's less than the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and Pro Max, and the iPhone XS and XS Max from the previous generation - all of these come with 4GB of RAM. The iPhone XR, however, has 3GB.

How fast is the iPhone SE (2020)?

It's not as fast as the other A13 iPhones (in multicore performance, at any rate), but given its lower RAM count we wouldn't expect that.
In our speed tests (using the Geekbench 5 benchmarking app) the iPhone SE (2020) averaged scores of 1,327 in single core and 3,039 in multicore. Here's how that compares with other recent iPhones:
  • iPhone X: 917 (SC) + 2353 (MC)
  • iPhone XR: 1110 (SC) + 2734 (MC)
  • iPhone XS: 1107 (SC) + 2735 (MC)
  • iPhone SE (2020): 1327 (SC) + 3039 (MC)
  • iPhone 11: 1288 (SC) + 3338 (MC)
  • iPhone 11 Pro: 1333 (SC) + 3544 (MC)
The tech site GSMArena thinks the iPhone SE is underclocked, based on underwhelming performance in a separate speed test, AnTuTu. The site thinks this was done to maintain battery life.

Will there be an iPhone SE Max?

We think so, yes, but don't expect it to arrive until 2021.
It's strange, give how neatly the iPhone SE (2020) replaces the iPhone 8, that there isn't a corresponding model to replace the iPhone 8 Plus. But the SE is available in only one screen size: 4.7in.
Pundits are in almost universal agreement that a larger version is in the pipeline, but they can't agree on exactly how much larger. Both 5.5in and 6.1in have their backers, and Apple itself may not have decided yet.
It's also expected to have a different design to the standard SE, with an all-screen layout and no Home button. It won't have Face ID, though - there will be a Touch ID sensor in the power button on one side.
