If you like to make your own playlists on Spotify, you've likely noticed that you can only upload custom artwork when on a desktop. That's no longer the case. Now, you can use your mobile to customize your playlist art.
How to Use a Mobile to Upload Custom Spotify Art
As announced on For the Record, you can now use your mobile to upload custom cover art and descriptions to your Spotify playlists.
Until now, this feature had been only available on desktop. Apparently, users had often requested this feature be made available on mobile—now their wishes have come true.
Support for custom playlist art upload is available to all Spotify users (on free and paid plans) on Android and iOS.
To customize your playlist art and description on mobile:
- Open the playlist you've made.
- Tap the three dots to open the menu.
- Tap Edit.
- Tap Change image and choose an image from your phone gallery.
- Write a description and tap Done.
Now that you've made your custom playlist and got it looking nice, it's time to share it with friends and family. One of the ways you can do this is to tap the same three dots to open the menu, then press Share.
