Music streaming platform Deezer has launched an app that lets podcasters monitor the performance of their podcasts.
Called Analytics by Deezer, the app consists of two tabs – Analytics and Audience.
The Analytics tabs provides an overview of the number of streams, listeners, fans and shares a podcast received on Deezer.
Meanwhile, the Audience tab shows demographics of the main listeners of a podcast including age and gender but also the devices they are listening on.
“As the world’s love of podcasts continues to grow, we want to share insightful data to help creators and producers gain vital knowledge of their shows,” said Frédéric Antelme, Head of Content at Deezer. “Podcasters can better get to know their audience and refine their advertising plans. We’re excited to launch ‘Analytics by Deezer’ and be the only streaming service to offer podcast insights on a mobile app.”
Podcasters who take pride in the results can share the analytics to social media.
The app is available for iOS and Android devices in English.
