It’s been a bad year for a lot of business, but TikTok isn’t one of them. The Chinese app made by Bytedance saw record quarter after quarter in 2020 and surpassed 2.6 billion installs on app stores recently.
TikTok has also attracted the highest percentage of positive reviews among the top 10 downloaded iOS apps in the US, according to new data from Sensor Tower.
In total, the app had some 278,000 reviews of which 88% were positive (4 to 5 stars). It’s another boon for an app that’s already been named one of the top apps in 2020.
In second place was Among Us, a mobile game developed by InnerSloth, which had a 67% positive rating.
Disney+ ranked third with 58% of positive reviews.
However, many other apps among the top 100 US App Store apps also saw their ratings improve in part because developers are putting greater effort into their development.
Among the categories that improved the most were Games, Entertainment, Finance, Shopping, Music and Social Networking
Average user ratings improved the most for YouTube while Tubi was the highest-rated entertainment app of all.
Meanwhile, the Park Master game climbed in average ratings and Amazon Alexa saw the biggest jump in average rating between the start and end of the year.
