Gboard for Android Will Make Sharing Screenshots Easier

Google is making it easier to share screenshots using Gboard for Android. The keyboard will now add screenshots to its clipboard, so you can easily share them with someone.

It is already possible to copy images in Gboard's clipboard that made sharing them easier. Google is now extending the same functionality to include screenshots.

Gboard's Clipboard Gets Smarter With Screenshot Sharing

Android Police reports their readers seeing a prompt in Gboard about adding screenshots to its clipboard for easier sharing. Once you give the required permission, any new screenshot you take will be automatically added to Gboard's clipboard. This way, you can easily paste the screenshot in any conversation in just a couple of taps---making the process faster than sharing the screenshot manually.

If Gboard does not ask you about adding screenshots to its clipboard, you can dive into the keyboard settings and check under Clipboard if the option to Save recent screenshots in clipboard is enabled or not. In some apps like WhatsApp, Gboard will automatically show a suggestion to share the screenshot saved in its clipboard.

If you don't like clipboard suggestions in Gboard, you also have the option of turning them off completely.

Google is currently rolling out this feature to select beta testers of Gboard for Android. A public rollout for all Gboard users should happen in the coming weeks and months.

Gboard for Android Keeps Getting Better

Gboard for Android is easily one of Google's best app for the platform. The company keeps improving it further by adding useful new features periodically, like real-time voice translation, integrated Google search, GIF support, and more.
