7 Apps You Can Use to Boost the Volume on Your iPhone

If you love a particular song, you may find that it can never quite be loud enough. Or, if you're listening to a recording with less-than-stellar quality, the max volume offered by your iPhone may not be enough to hear everything.

Luckily, volume and sound boosting apps come to the rescue!

If you're looking to boost the volume and sound on your iOS device, then you've come to the right place. These apps are your best options for raising the volume as much as possible for whatever you're listening to.

1. Bass & Volume BOOSTER

Bass & Volume BOOSTER is well designed and does what it says on the tin. It allows you to use Noise Reduction to then boost the volume coming out of your speakers using levels that you slide up and down to fit the amount of volume you'd like.

The Profile tab allows you to change your Model of hearing. For instance, Normal, Car, Inside, etc. In the Settings tab, you can toggle Noise Suppression, change the amplification level of quiet sounds, and adjust the High Frequencies, Low Frequencies, and Balance.

2. Max Volume Booster

Max Volume Booster, by Chau Nguyen, has a simpler UI than the other apps featured on this list, as well as a jazzier color scheme. You import a video or audio file by tapping the plus icon at the top, and when it's imported you can affect the audio volume. When you're finished, you can compare the Original with the Result.

The app allows you to export the results or save them to your device, making it a useful tool for affecting the volume of local video and audio files you have. While this app doesn't allow you to affect the audio as much as the others apps around, it is a good volume booster if you want a simple option.

3. Volume Boost

Volume Boost is crisp and simply designed, acting as an easy-to-use Noise Suppression and Super Boost app that can help you to get the best out of your audio. While the app recommends that you use headphones to achieve the greatest sound quality boost, it works just fine with speakers. However, if you use AirPods with improved sound quality, that will obviously give you the best audio quality available.

Through the Profile page in the top-left of the app, you can choose the Mode, such as Normal, Car, Outside, or Inside. Through the Settings, you can adjust the high and low frequencies or change the amplification level of quiet sounds.

4. Volume Booster

Volume Booster, by Kartum Infotech, works much the same way as Max Volume Booster, with the app structure being that you import a file from Music, Files, Google Drive, Dropbox, and so on, and then adjust the audio on the file. You can compare the file via the Originals and Results tabs.

This app allows more options for importing, as well as altering the audio of files you've imported. You can change the Equalizer levels, the Bass, and the Depth and Rotation of the audio via the 3D FX tab. Volume Booster is an essential tool for you if you're looking to have a more advanced level of audio altering over your files.

Bass Booster Volume Booster EQ is a very capable volume boosting app that has an in-built music player. You can import songs from Google Drive, Dropbox, and other storage services, with an impressive feature that lets you perform a Wi-Fi transfer from your PC to the app. That last feature is particularly useful in cases where you've got free and copyright-free music you want to boost.

You can even stream popular radio stations through the app and then affect the audio. With Bass Booster, Equalizer, and Volume Booster tabs that allow you to slide up or down your desired level, you'll be getting the most out of your audio in no time. The equalizer has 10 bands, which is impressive considering that the other apps featured on this list typically only feature a 6-band equalizer.

Boom is a music player app with volume-boosting and equalizing capabilities built in. Simply connect it to your Spotify, Apple Music, or Tidal account, and you can use these music players inside Boom. When playing a track, you can affect the Bass and Intensity using sliders, tweak the Pre-Amp levels, adjust the 3D Speaker Controls, and customize the EQ using the in-built eight-band equalizer.

There are plenty of options available for altering the audio through Boom, and what's quite cool is its use of a Trending tab for you to see what others are currently listening to the most. Boom is probably the most comprehensive volume boosting app featured on this list, and it's not hard to see why it's so popular and highly rated on the app store.
